Overview :
We are looking for an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join a leading real estate developer in Goa known for creating homes that beautifully unite contemporary design natural landscapes and timeless this role the Quantity Surveyor will support end-to-end cost management of projects—covering estimation costing rate analysis tendering procurement and on-site quantity verification. The position requires strong proficiency in interpreting drawings preparing bills evaluating material quotations and ensuring cost-efficient delivery. The role also involves coordination with project managers suppliers and contractors along with value-engineering inputs and accurate reporting to senior management.
Job Responsibilities :
- Quantity Surveying & Estimation :
- Prepare detailed cost estimates rate analysis and bills of quantities (BOQ) from drawings and specifications.
- Measure and verify quantities on-site and prepare running and final bills for ongoing projects.
- Maintain registers of all bills costs and market rates for materials and civil works; update them periodically.
- Conduct estimation and costing for stage-wise work schedules for each project block.
- Procurement & Tendering:
- Evaluate material quotations compare vendor rates and issue purchase orders.
- Manage tendering processes prepare tender documents conduct comparative analysis of bids and negotiate with suppliers and subcontractors.
- Coordinate with the Purchase Department as required.
- Project Coordination & Reporting:
- Review and scrutinize all drawings from consultants file and distribute them to relevant agencies.
- Assist project managers in preparing construction schedules charts and work plans.
- Monitor project progress labour counts and daily site activities for accurate cost and rate analysis.
- Report weekly to the Project Head & Managing Director regarding achieved targets and upcoming project plans.
- Technical Support & Quality :
- Strive for value engineering and recommend cost-saving solutions.
- Handle leveling instruments for mass excavation and prepare before/after land profiles.
- Ensure compliance with legal health safety and quality standards.
- Liaise with site managers clients contractors and engineering consultants to maintain smooth project execution.
- Miscellaneous :
- Carry out additional tasks such as site markings and any duties assigned by the Head Projects or senior management.
Job Requirements :
- Diploma or Bachelors Degree (BE) in Civil Engineering.
- Minimum 5 years of experience as a Quantity Surveyor in the construction industry.
- Strong knowledge of estimation costing and rate analysis (including finishing items).
- Experience in preparing BOQs tenders comparative statements and procurement documentation.
- Ability to read interpret and analyze construction drawings.
- Proficiency in handling leveling instruments and preparing excavation profiles.
- Excellent negotiation communication and vendor management skills.
- Strong analytical abilities with attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to maintain detailed records cost reports and documentation.
- Familiarity with project scheduling tools and methods.
- Ability to work independently and coordinate with multiple teams.
