Job Summary
Job Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized General Accountant to join our team remotely. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in accounting strong analytical skills and the ability to manage financial records accurately while ensuring compliance with accounting standards. This role requires a proactive individual who can handle day-to-day accounting tasks independently and support management with financial reporting and analysis.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain and update financial records including accounts payable and receivable general ledger and bank reconciliations.
- Prepare and process invoices payments and expense reports in a timely manner.
- Monitor and manage cash flow ensuring accuracy of financial data.
- Assist in the preparation of monthly quarterly and annual financial statements and reports.
- Ensure compliance with accounting policies procedures and regulatory requirements.
- Support audits by providing necessary documentation and explanations.
- Collaborate with internal teams to streamline accounting processes and improve efficiency.
- Identify discrepancies and resolve accounting issues promptly.
Requirements
Bachelors degree in Accounting Finance or a related field.
Minimum of 3 years of accounting experience preferably in a general accounting role.
Proficiency in accounting software (e.g. QuickBooks Xero SAP) and Microsoft Excel.
Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting standards.
Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
Ability to work independently in a remote setting while meeting deadlines.
Strong communication skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
Preferred Skills:
Experience with remote accounting workflows and cloud-based accounting tools.
Ability to analyze financial data and provide actionable insights.

Required Skills:
Bachelors degree in Accounting Finance or a related field. At least 24 years of accounting experience preferably in general accounting or accounts payable/receivable. Proficiency in accounting software (e.g. QuickBooks Xero or similar). Strong understanding of GAAP or local accounting standards. Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Google Sheets. Strong analytical organizational and problem-solving skills. High attention to detail and accuracy. Ability to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines
