Join UChicago Medicine at Crown Point as a Cardiac Sonographer in the Cardiac Imaging Laboratory.
Come be a vital part of our team as a Cardiac Sonographer at our cutting-edge facility in Crown Point! UChicago Medicine Crown Point is a new two-story 130000-square-foot multispecialty care center and micro-hospital in Northwest Indiana for what will be the academic health systems largest off-site facility and its first freestanding building in Indiana.
Essential Job Functions
- Prepare patients for cardiac ultrasound examinations.
- Performs complete cardiac ultrasound examinations and stress testing.
- Uses ISCVdigital archiving system for measurements.
- Submits accurate charges for all performed examinations.
- Performs examinations in adherence to the department objectives and policies.
- Communicates with patients and fellow employees in a professional and supportive manner.
- Helps train Cardiac Sonographers at Level 1.
- Actively participates in process improvement activities.
- Involved in research and publications to be at the cutting edge of the field.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience outside school hours in cardiac sonography.
- Accreditation with ARDMS or CCI. Passed boards.
- From 5 to 10 years experience required in ultrasound procedures equipment CW Doppler and related anatomy and pathological conditions of the heart valves pericardium and blood vessels.

Compensation & Benefits Overview
UChicago Medicine is committed to transparency in compensation and benefits. The pay range provided reflects the anticipated wage or salary reasonably expected to be offered for the position.
The pay range is based on a full-time equivalent (1.0 FTE) and is reflective of current market data reviewed on an annual basis. Compensation offered at the time of hire will vary based on candidate qualifications and experience and organizational considerations such as internal equity. Pay ranges for employees subject to Collective Bargaining Agreements are negotiated by the medical center and their respective union.
