The MGH Cancer Center is expanding the Early Detection and Diagnosis (EDDx) Nurse Navigator team.
Working collaboratively with the physician APP and administrative team the EEDx Nurse Navigator is the first point of contact for patients referred to the EEDx clinic for cancer screening early detection and genetic testing and surveillance.
-Ability to guide patients through the process of this screening and across the continuum of care.
-Must have foundation knowledge in cancer and strong and compassionate communication skills.
-Strong collaboration with both the clinical and administrative team.
Triage all new patient referrals to the EDDx clinic
-Contact patient to obtain history and explain what to expect from the EDDx clinic. Provide educational and emotional support as needed.
-Acquire any additional clinical and pathological records needed for a successful visit.
-Collaborate with all members of the EDDx team to ensure clinic efficiency and timely patient appointments.

Bachelors Degree Nursing required or Masters Degree Nursing preferred

Experience
Experience in an acute care setting and/or provider practice and/or experience in a community-based role or with discharge/transitional planning background 2-3 years preferred
