Job Summary:
TheAdmissions Counselor- Graduate and Adult rolewill purposefullyseek recruit qualify andassistwith theadmissionofprospective Calvin Universitygraduateand adultstudents providing excellent customer service to thestudent. The counseloris responsible forcreating and implementing strategies to recruit and enroll prospective studentsinto specific graduateand undergraduateprograms at the university. Strategies will include recruitmenttravel phone calls emails texts on-campus appointments etc.Theywillassistin coordinating special projects reviewingapplicationmaterialsandcommunicatingwithacademic leadersto implement admissions decisions.This role will also heavily support internationalstudentsinterest in graduate and adult degree programs through student communication transcript evaluations and guiding through theon-campus or online enrollment process.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Territory development including building andmaintainingstrong connections to keycollegesuniversities businesses communityorganizationsandotherprimarycontactsas well as outreach for market development.
Establishrecruiting relationships with key colleges/universitiesbusinessesand other community groups by making scheduled visits and contactingappropriate staffto foster strong relationships and ensureoptimalenrollment.
Represent theSchool of Graduate & Continuing Studiesat local and regional events.
Serve as primary contact for prospective studentsthrough calls eventsindividualmeetings emails etc. Including both domestic and international audiences.
Perform department administrative duties by reviewing admission files for completionmonitoringthe status of individual applicantsscheduling recruitment visits andmaking all travelarrangementsto contribute to an efficient and cost-effective recruitment process.
Developproficiencywithin the CRM to gather datatrack leads through the enrollment funnelrecord interactions with students and report activity. Database management will be an essentialcomponentto successful recruitment.
Analyze current enrollment data related to Calvin University student recruiting by reviewing current and historical enrollment and geographic data toidentifyand develop sources and contacts for reaching potential students.
Become an expert on thedistinctiveness of Calvin University anditsprogramsby attendingtrainingandmeetingwith faculty and other departmentstoappropriatelyrepresentthe University.
Assistwithother enrollmentpopulationsevents and other recruitment activitiesas needed.
Ongoing performance:

Skill Requirements:
Excellent written and oral communication including public speaking to large audiences

Skilled sales techniques
Ability to work evenings and weekends as needed
Ability to work independently without supervision and as an inspirational team leader
Ability to schedule and embark on travel including airplane and car including having a valid drivers license
Ability to be adaptable and manage multiple competing priorities
Education and Experience:
Abachelors degreein a relevant discipline masters degree preferred
At least 12 months of relevant administrative admissionsor higher educationexperience preferred
Previousinternational admissions experience preferred
Travel Requirements:
TheAdmissions Counselor- Graduate and Adultpositionrequiresasmall to moderateamount ofdomestic travel(continental United States)
