What you will do:
Aspect is a leader in education for children on the autism spectrum. Working at Aspect means you will be supported by a team of passionate professional educators. You will help create a learning environment that tailors to the individual needs of students through evidence informed best practice in autism. Class sizes are small and you always have the assistance of a dedicated teacher aide. You will work closely in a team that includes the student family teacher aide and other professionals such as our school psychologist speech therapists and occupational therapists to develop and deliver quality learning programs. This wrap-around multi-disciplinary approach to support means that you will gain new skills and work experience that can help you reach your professional goals.
Every day is so different from the last I learn each day from the students... I love the diversity and uniqueness of each student and assisting them to learn in the way that suits them best. Aspect is amazing at student focused learning I have never experienced such a nourishing learning environment with a strong child-based focus. About our School:
Aspect Treetop School provides placement for approximately 80 students on the autism spectrum from ages 4 to 16 years providing small class sizes and additional staff support.
Aspect Treetop School is proud to be the only autism-specific education program for students from Reception to Year 10 in Adelaide. We understand the uniqueness of every child value their individual strengths interests and aspirations and we celebrate the different brilliant of every child.

Aspect Distance Education Program:
Autism Spectrum Australia (Aspect) Australias leading national autism provider with one of the largest autism-specific school programs in the world is running Australias first autism-specific Distance Education program.
The program allows students on the autism spectrum to learn from home by connecting them to teachers via a range of digital learning tools. Students will also participate in several outings and excursions each year.
Please note that Aspect Distance Education is only available for students in Years 3-12 residing in New South Wales or in Years 3-6 and residing in South Australia (from Term 2 2026)
Qualifications :
What we are looking for:
- Teachers Registration Board of South Australia (TRB) registration to teach in SA
- Special Education qualifications preferred but all applications will be considered
- Experience working with students on the autism spectrum or with other intellectual disability (desirable)
- South Australian Working with Children Check clearance for paid employment
- You may be required to provide an international police clearance.
