As a Secondary Engineer working with the Transmissions team your impact will be in the design of panel layouts schematics protection settings cable/wiring schedules and related documentation related to the design of HV and EHV terminal stations and substations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Undertaking secondary design for substations and terminal stations to a high technical standard
- Manage outcomes within budget and project programme constraints whilst maintaining high levels of technical performance
- Review work as part of the peer review process from time to time as may be required
- Effectively manage the detail design from concept through to final design implementation to agreed scope quality time frames and budgets
- Identify and manage scope variations according to client and/or project requirements
Qualifications :
To be successful in this opportunity you will ideally have a minimum of 5 years of relevant industry experience with demonstrated experience on electrical transmission projects. A requirement of this role is to be embedded in our clients team and office for several months to gain familiarity with their processes and standards prior to working full-time back in home addition you will also have:
- An Electrical Engineering Degree (or equivalent)
- Relevant work rights to live and work full-time in Australia
- Demonstrated experience with secondary design in networks above 66 kV
- Experience with IEC 61850
- Well-developed interpersonal and communication skills to manage stakeholders at all levels
