Recruitment Number 25-269LM Equal Opportunity Compliance Officer (DL) EM-05 ($9462 to $10800 monthly) * Honolulu Oahu.

Summary of Duties
This position is located in the Office of the Administrative Director of the Courts. The Office of the Administrative Director of the Courts primarily assists the Chief Justice in directing the administration of the Judiciary and in examining the administrative methods of the courts to determine and make recommendations to the Chief Justice for their improvement.
The purpose of the position is to serve as the Judiciarys statewide principal compliance officer liaison technical advisor and investigator to ensure the Judiciarys compliance with Federal and State laws relating to equal employment opportunity and anti-discrimination in both employment and in the access to court programs activities and services including building a culture of acceptance and inclusion within the Judiciary.
Minimum Qualification Requirements
Education Requirement: Bachelors degree from an accredited college or university.
Excess work experience of the type and quality described below or any administrative professional or other responsible work which required a high level of analytical skills may be substituted for education on a year-for-year basis.
The experience must demonstrate the ability to write clearly and comprehensively such material as reports and analyses; read and interpret complex written material; and solve complex problems logically and systematically.
Specialized Experience Requirement: Five (5) years of progressively responsible professional work experience involving significant responsibilities in the planning development evaluation and compliance of equal employment and/or non-discrimination program(s) in an organization. Such work experience shall include responsibility for identifying gathering investigating evaluating and analyzing facts and other pertinent information required to resolve problems; analyzing and evaluating issues involved; conducting study of precedents and court cases in the course of completing investigation findings and studies; determining and recommending actions required by those charged with discriminatory practices to resolve not only the immediate charge but to correct violating practices and policies; negotiation of settlement of complaints and charges; and advising and training on Equal Employment Opportunity laws and regulations.
The work experience must have demonstrated extensive knowledge interpretation and application of Federal and State Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) Affirmative Action (AA) and/or Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) laws rules regulations and programs; providing of technical guidance advice and liaison in EEO/AA and/or ADA matters; and formulating and implementing an equal employment opportunity and/or affirmative action plans.
Supervisory Aptitude: Applicants must possess supervisory aptitude. Supervisory aptitude is the demonstration of aptitude or potential for the performance of supervisory duties through successful completion of regular or special assignments which involve some supervisory responsibilities or aspects of supervision; by serving as a group or team leader or in similar work in which opportunities for demonstrative supervisory capabilities exist; by completion of training courses in supervision accompanied by application of supervisory skills in work assignments; or by favorable appraisals by a supervisor indicating the possession of supervisory potential.
Selective Certification Requirement: A current and valid drivers license to operate a motor vehicle.
Desired Qualifications:Graduation from a school of law recognized by the American Bar Association with a Juris Doctor degree is desired as the position serves as the Judiciarys principle compliance officer liaison technical advisor and investigator to ensure the Judiciarys compliance with Federal and State laws relating to equal employment opportunity and anti-discrimination in both employment and in the access to court programs activities and services.
