Registered Nurse Emergency Room (ER)

Location: Syracuse NY 13210
Shift: Nights 312-hour shifts (19:0007:30)
Schedule: Every other weekend some holidays
Duration: 13 weeks
Block Scheduling: Not available
Shifts per Pay Period: 6 shifts every 2 weeks

Position Overview

Seeking experienced Emergency Room Registered Nurses for night shift assignments within a high-acuity adult emergency department. Nurses will care for both adult and pediatric populations and must be comfortable working in a fast-paced trauma environment.

Key Responsibilities

Deliver high-quality nursing care to ER patients of all ages.
Respond to trauma situations and provide urgent/emergent interventions.
Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to stabilize and treat patients.
Use sound critical-thinking and prioritization skills in a busy ER setting.
Document accurately and efficiently within electronic medical records.
Work required weekend and holiday rotations.

Requirements

Active RN license (NY or compact as applicable).
Experience in Level 1 or Level 2 Trauma Centers required.
Experience caring for both adult and pediatric ER patients.
Prior work in acute-care facilities of similar size and acuity levels.
EPIC EMR experience preferred.
Ability to work 12-hour night shifts consistently.
