Job Summary
Job Overview
Role is responsible for supporting the Fargo R&D department by participating in electronic design activities building/testing prototypes preparing tests and performing Engineering analysis to ensure designs meet requirements. Also provides drafting/modeling and document management support participates in prototype builds installation and setup testing production support and other tests to ensure durability.
Highlights of your role
- Design and problem-solving activities: Work with engineers and designers to troubleshoot electronic circuits and systems and help design a solution to resolve identified issues.
- Automation: Develop automated testing setups and job aids.
- Documentation: Capability to create technical summary reports and test documentation.
- Circuit Board Design: A basic understanding of circuit board and firmware design.
- Product Knowledge: Become intimately familiar with our current electronic products and they are implemented into our fenestration products.
- Other functions: Product installation and setup testing production support soldering of small electronics with high quality a plus Ability to read and comprehend engineering systems requirements documents
Youre a good fit if you have (or if you can)
- Must be enrolled in an Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering degree program pursuing a bachelors degree
- Working knowledge of 2D and 3D Modeling software (Inventor preferred) and Microsoft Office Suite (Word Outlook Excel etc.) preferred
- Must be able to be a positive member of a team environment an individual who possesses self-motivation skills and is dependable and trustworthy
- Must be able to problem-solve and communicate effectively
- Must possess proficient organizational interpersonal and multi-tasking abilities and be able to work with power tools and computer equipment
