Desirable Qualifications
1. Possession of a Bachelors Degree or higher from an accredited college or university. 2. Possession of the ARRT Advanced Certification in Mammography Cardiovascular-Interventional Quality Management Computerized Tomography Magnetic Resonance Imaging or Bone Densitometry. 3. Additional Certifications ARRT (T) (NM) CRT -Fluoroscopy ARDMS 4. Sufficient academic background to use major required texts (e.g. Bushong Radiologic Science for Technologists Ballinger Radiographic Positions and Radiologic Procedures; Landicina Radiologic Pathology for Technologists Chabner Language of Medicine Torres Basic Medical Techniques and Patient Care Adler and Carlton Introduction to Radiology and Patient Care.) 5. Ability to adapt instructions to students with widely varying academic backgrounds. 6. Membership in appropriate professional organization (e.g. ASRT AERS CSRT ). 7. Community College or Radiography teaching experience. 8. Competence in computer skills such as use of electronic mail Internet MS Office software including MS Word Excel and PowerPoint.
Minimum Qualifications
1. Possession of a Bachelors Degree from an accredited college or university AND two (2) years of experience in clinical radiological science; AND Possession of an American Registry of Radiologic Technologist Registration and State Certification in Radiography (Certified Radiologic Technologist) from the State of California Department of Health Services Radiologic Health Branch; OR 2. Possession of an Associates Degree from an accredited college of university AND six (6) years of experience in clinical radiologic science; AND Possession of an American Registry of Radiologic Technologist Registration and State Certification in Radiography (Certified Radiologic Technologist) from the State of California Department of Health Services Radiologic Health Branch; OR 3. May submit a fully satisfied lifetime California Community College Instructor Credential authorizing service to teach courses in Radiologic Science. 4. Understanding of sensitivity to and respect for the diverse academic socioeconomic cultural disability gender identity sexual orientation and ethnic backgrounds of community college students.
