Job Description Summary
Teach community college level courses in Business Administration Business Transfer Curriculum Economics Accounting Management and Marketing both in theory and application. May also be required to teach online courses.
Desirable Qualifications
1. Teaching business in a multi-cultural environment preferably lower-division college teaching experience. 2. Practical applied experience in business accounting and/or management. 3. Demonstrated technology skills especially in teaching online and using technology in the classroom. 4. Experience in teaching other business courses including general business business law marketing accounting and management. 5. An interest in distance learning instruction(online courses.)
Minimum Qualifications
1. Possession of a Masters Degree from an accredited college or university in business business administration business management accountancy business education finance or marketing; OR 2. Bachelors Degree from an accredited college or university in business business administration business management accountancy business education finance or marketing; AND Masters Degree in economics personnel management public administration or JD or LL.B Degree; OR 3. Bachelors on economics with a business emphasis; AND Masters Degree in personnel management public administration or JD or LL.B degree; 4. May submit a fully satisfied lifetime California Community College Instructor Credential authorizing service to teach courses in Real Estate. (California credentials were no longer issued after July 1 1990). OR 5. The equivalent qualifications. (Candidates who claim equivalency must provide conclusive evidence as clear and reliable on the college transcripts as required on the District Equivalency Application Form. Refer to the Equivalency Procedures below. This is not a process to waive the minimum qualifications.) AND 6. Understanding of sensitivity to and respect for the diverse academic socioeconomic cultural disability and ethnic backgrounds of community college students.
