We are seeking a motivated and ambitious Graduate Mechanical Engineer to join our dynamic engineering team. This role is ideal for a recent graduate who is eager to apply theoretical knowledge to real-world engineering challenges and develop professionally within a supportive environment.
Duties & Responsibilities
As a Graduate Mechanical Engineer you will contribute to the design analysis testing and improvement of mechanical systems across a range of projects. You will work closely with Senior Engineers and cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality engineering solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with the design and development of mechanical components systems and assemblies
- Perform engineering calculations simulations and technical analysis
- Support prototype development testing and validation activities
- Prepare technical drawings documentation and reports
- Participate in team meetings technical reviews and project planning
- Ensure compliance with industry standards safety regulations and company procedures
- Contribute fresh ideas to improve product performance and efficiency
Requirements:
- Bachelors Degree (or higher) in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline
- Strong understanding of engineering principles materials thermodynamics and mechanics
- Familiarity with CAD software (e.g. SolidWorks AutoCAD CATIA or similar)
- Good analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
- Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn
- Internship or project experience is advantageous but not essential
This position is based at a Cement Mine in Lichtenburg.
