Job Summary
Job Description
Essence of the job:
The SHE officer identifies reviews and evaluates hazards within the work environment; implements the controls and the preventive measures; and prevents injuries resulting from environmental factors.
Qualification:
National Diploma Health and Safety or equivalent
Registered with SACPCMP as a Health and Safety Officer (Proof of Registration is required).
Minimum Requirements:
5 Years of experience within a SHE Officer position within Construction / a Senior Safety Candidate officer close to qualifying as a Safety officer.
SAMTRAC NEBOSCH or equivalent certification.
Knowledge of the National Environmental Act; Occupational Health and Safety Act National Traffic Act.
Municipal by-laws and company policies and procedures that will need to be followed.
Knowledge of construction processes equipment materials and products.
Understanding and implementing of ISO and OHSAS 18001.
Drivers License essential.
Renewable energy experience preferred.
