About the Opportunity
On behalf of our international client we are hiring a Payable Accountant to join their Finance and Accounting team handling tasks for 3 sets of accounting books. Our client is an international marine and logistics company with almost 200 years of history.
Key Responsibilities
- Invoice posting: Verify and record suppliers invoice to companys accounting system ensuring compliance with Group policy and local regulations
- Payment process and posting: Process bank payment run and posting bank payment into accounting system
- Handle weekly AP aging report and cash flow forecast
- Month-end closing and reporting account reconciliation related to AP scopes
- Update monthly input VAT listing and submit to Tax Accountant after month-end closing is done
- Assist in annual internal and external audits
- Take part in AP improvement and automation projects
- Documents control and fillings under this scope
- Other ad-hoc tasks of finance team assigned by AM FM
Requirements
Technical skills:
- Bachelors degree in accounting / finance or related fields.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in general accounting role preferably in Shipping line/logistic/forwarding industries
- Experience in accounting principles (VAS IFRS)
- Knowledge of Vietnam tax regulations
- Experiences working with accounting software and bank payment portals
Soft skills:
- Able to communicate in English both speaking and writing
- Detail-oriented professional values integrity
- Able to work independently and collaborate as part of a team
- Responsible with good time-management abilities
