The opportunity
As an Offensive Security Analyst on the Vulnerability Management team you will play a crucial role in the identification evaluation and management of EYs digital exposure working under the guidance of the Vulnerability Exposure Management Lead to identify and mitigate vulnerabilities in the EY digital attack surface. Your responsibilities will also include aiding in the assessment and validation of third-party risk assessments and ensuring that EYs security standards are upheld across all digital assets. Additionally the analyst will influence and implement proactive defense strategies to maintain the integrity and security of the businesss digital footprint.
Your key responsibilities
The analyst will leverage offensive security skills to emulate cyber threat actors and conduct reconnaissance and black-box penetration testing of EYs digital exposure. This includes identifying and validating vulnerabilities and misconfigurations that could be exploited by adversaries. The role also involves assessment of these assets against newly disclosed Known Exploited Vulnerabilities (KEVs) to ensure timely detection and addition the analyst will play a key role in conducting third-party risk assessments by validating the reported findings. Collaborating closely with multiple teams across the organization the analyst will contribute to the execution of EYs Attack Surface Management strategy helping to strengthen the security posture of the firms digital assets.
Skills and attributes for success
- Proficient Penetration tester
- Critical thinking in solving technical problems
- Ability to handle multiple Penetration testing projects
- Familiarity with research methodologies
- Flexibility and comfortability pivoting between diverse environments
- Developing communication Skills
To qualify for the role you must have
- A minimum of 4 years of experience in web penetration testing or red teaming
- Good understanding of web cloud and network penetration testing methodologies
- Well-developed knowledge of offensive security principles
- Professional-level analytical and problem-solving skills
- Developing ability to translate vulnerability information to business impact
- Demonstrated experience with third-party risk assessments
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Experience providing prioritization recommendations to stakeholders
Ideally youll also have
- OWASP training
- Incident response experience
