A leading independently owned town planning consultancy with offices across the UK and Ireland is seeking an Associate-level Planning Consultant to join its Edinburgh team. The organisation provides commercially focused strategic planning advice and works across multiple sectors including energy infrastructure residential retail commercial healthcare tourism and leisure.

The ideal candidate:

The ideal candidate will take responsibility for managing their own projects handling planning applications and appeals preparing planning appraisals and development plan submissions undertaking research and supporting a wide range of planning consultancy activities.

Candidates should be ambitious commercially aware and detail-oriented with strong written and verbal communication skills. A full driving licence and access to a car are essential.

Core Skills Required:

Strong IT proficiency including MS Word Excel and PowerPoint
Excellent planning and organisational abilities
Effective problem-solving and negotiation skills
Ability to manage varied workloads and meet strict deadlines
