As a Software Development Engineer on our team youll be at the forefront of building our second-screen companion experience for iPhone and Android apps. Using React Native and AWS services youll create fluid smooth and high-performant mobile experiences. Youll drive the development of scalable performant solutions that connect product discovery to instant purchase. Working closely with cross-functional teams youll participate in all aspects of the agile development lifecycle from architecture to operations ensuring our services delight customers while meeting rigorous technical standards.
Were looking for someone who brings proven experience in building high-quality mobile applications strong technical judgment and system design capabilities. You should be passionate about creating innovative solutions that scale with a focus on operational excellence and maintainable code. Most importantly youll need to balance technical and business requirements as we revolutionize how millions of customers discover and purchase products through their favorite entertainment content.
- 3 years of non-internship professional software development experience
- 2 years of non-internship design or architecture (design patterns reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience
- Experience programming with at least one software programming language
- 3 years of full software development life cycle including coding standards code reviews source control management build processes testing and operations experience
- Bachelors degree in computer science or equivalent

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $129300/year in our lowest geographic market up to $223600/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge skills and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered equity sign-on payments and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package in addition to a full range of medical financial and/or other benefits.
