Sporting Clays Range Assistant

Spring Island Club is looking for a Sporting Clays Range Assistant!

Job Summary:
The Sporting Clays Range Assistant will play a key role in assisting with the dailyoperations and management of our clays range. This includes 4 days a week at the Sporting Clays range. Our range is open on Tuesday Wednesday Friday and Saturdays. The ideal candidate will have a strong passion for the outdoors especially shooting sports a positive attitude andthe ability to provide exceptional customer service while working in a team-orientedatmosphere.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Sporting Clays:

• Assist Sporting Clays manager in daily maintenance of facility and machines.
• Assist with welcoming members and guests to the range in a positive and welcoming manner.
• Assist in the overall safety during shooting.
• Assist with monthly events.

2. Facility Maintenance:

• Ensure the facility is clean organized and safe for both members and guests.
• Maintain and repair clay target machines as needed.
• Monitor and maintain the elevated five stand and the sporting clays course.

3. Program Support:

• Help implement and run shooting lessons including shooting instructiongroundwork and other program activities.
• Ensure the safety of participants during all programs and activitiesincluding adherence to safety protocols.
• Provide guidance and supervision to clients especially beginners andchildren during lessons and activities.

4. Client Services:

• Provide excellent customer service to members and guests answeringquestions offering assistance and ensuring a positive experience.
• Handle inquiries and scheduling as well as maintaining goodcommunication with clients regarding appointments and programavailability.
• Foster a welcoming friendly atmosphere that promotes a positiveexperience for participants of all ages.

5. Administrative Support:

• Assist with light office duties such as maintaining records updatingschedules and handling bookings.
• Help with data entry client forms and other administrative tasks asneeded.

6. Teamwork:

• Work collaboratively with fellow team members sharing tasks andresponsibilities.
• Contribute to a positive productive work environment ensuring all staffwork together to achieve common goals.
• Participate in regular team meetings and ongoing training sessions.

7. Additional Duties:

• Assist with event preparation and execution including clinic communityvents or special programs.
• Take part in continuing education opportunities to improve shooting knowledge and skills.

Qualifications:
Previous experience working with shotguns clay machines and one-on-one instruction. Being mechanically sound to be able to maintain the machines.
Knowledge of shooting sporting clays trap and gun safety is required.
Strong communication skills both verbal and written.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Enthusiasm and commitment to providing a positive and safe experience forour members and their guests.
Willingness to learn and grow in the field.
Ability to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays.
First Aid/CPR certification is preferred or willingness to obtain.

Physical Requirements:
Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
Comfort with outdoor work in varying weather conditions.
Ability to perform physically demanding tasks including lifting bending andwalking.

Compensation:
