Suburban Hospital is a 228-bed Level II Trauma Center and a community-based hospital in Bethesda Maryland. Suburban Hospital is a member of Johns Hopkins Medicine and has served Montgomery County and the surrounding area for more than 65 years. The designated trauma center for Montgomery County Suburban Hospital is fully accredited by the Joint Commission and has earned ANCC Magnet Recognition for nursing excellence.

What you will do:

In collaboration with clinical and administrative leadership assumes responsibility for coordinating aspects of the ANCC Magnet application designation and re-designation process. Serves as the Magnet advisor to the leadership team and liaison to the ANCC Magnet office. Promotes nursing excellence recognition empowerment through shared governance and professional development of nurses. Assess current organizational status in relationship to desired outcome; identify action plan required for compliance with ANCC Magnet designation criteria; provide program leadership and management; act as a champion for Magnet designation. Develop a timeline for data submission and ensure that other members of the organization comply with timelines and data submission requirements; meet all deadlines as required by initial/recertification all documentation required for submission of initial and recertification for magnet recognition; assure maintenance of project plans/records to serve as initial and ongoing archive of process.

What you will bring:

  • Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing from an accredited School of Nursing required; Masters degree preferred.
  • Licensed to practice as a registered nurse in the state of Maryland.
  • Current CPR Certification required.

Salary Range: Minimum 55.88/hour - Maximum 86.62/hour. Compensation will be commensurate with equity and experience for roles of similar scope and cases where the range is displayed as a $0 amount salary discussions will occur during candidate screening calls before any subsequent compensation discussion is held between the candidate and any hiring authority.
