Qualifications:
- Holds or is able to secure Arkansas teacher license
- Valid Arkansas coaching certification or endorsement
- Knowledge of all aspects of the game of basketball
- Successful head coaching experience preferred
- CDL encouraged but not required
Responsibilities:
- The Head Football Coach is responsible for all aspects of the Football Program 7-12 grade such as working with all coaching staff coaching team members scheduling training off-season activities promotion of the program etc.
- Manage and supervise athletic activities and practice sessions to promote individual growth in athletic skills teamwork discipline respect and good sportsmanship in grades 7-12.
- Required to be actively engaged in all athletic periods during the school day in grades 7-12 and in all before/after school practices in grades 7-12.
- Maintains competency in rules regulations and coaching techniques for the sport/activity.
- Works with the student athletes to develop skills and fundamentals
- Provide training direction encouragement motivation and nutritional advice to prepare athletes for practices games and other competitive events.
- Plan organize and conduct practice sessions.
- Plan and direct physical conditioning programs that will enable athletes to achieve maximum performance.
- Make efforts to ensure the safety and well-being of each athlete.
- Adjust coaching techniques based on the strengths and weaknesses of athletes.
- Ability to work with the other sports programs and activities in sharing students among programs schedules etc.
- Develop and arrange competition schedules and programs.
- Analyze the strengths and weaknesses of opposing teams to develop game strategies.
- Contact the parents of players to provide information and answer questions.
- Coordinate travel arrangements and travel with team to away contests.
- Monitor the academic eligibility of student athletes.
- Involvement in youth community football programs in elementary grades.
- Administering program budget.
- Supervising and leadingassistant high school coaches middle school coaches and other program personnel.
- Monitor and foster student-athletes well-being and academic success.
- Complete all Arkansas Activities Association (AAA) sponsored annual training and meet requirements for endorsement updates.
- Comply with all AAA requirements.
- Other functions may be required as given or assigned.
- Other duties as assigned by the principal or athletic director.
