Manager of Staff Learning & Development Job Details:
We are seeking an experienced Manager of Staff Learning & Development to join our Human Resources team. This role is responsible for designing delivering and enhancing training programs that support staff growth and performance across the firm. Key focus areas include curriculum development onboarding soft-skills training HR-driven content and collaboration with subject-matter experts. The Manager plays a hands-on role in training facilitation content creation LMS management and building career development pathways.
This role may be based in any of the following firm offices: Denver CO; Los Angeles CA; Orange County CA; Palo Alto CA; Phoenix AZ; Salt Lake City UT Seattle WA; or Washington D.C.
Position responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
- Develop and deliver engaging training programs for staff at all levels including onboarding professional skills compliance and role-specific training
- Create learning materials such as facilitator guides e-learning modules job aids and assessments
- Facilitate live training sessions (virtual and in-person) with professionalism clarity and strong audience engagement
- Maintain and update the staff learning curriculum to reflect evolving needs competencies and firm priorities
- Conduct needs assessments and work with HR IT and operational leaders to identify learning gaps
- Support implementation of leadership development and manager capability training
- Administer the LMS including course setup reporting notifications rosters and tracking
- Review training metrics to monitor participation and effectiveness
- Coordinate logistics for training programs across multiple offices
- Partner with IT for systems training consistency and support
- Work with departmental and office Directors on integrating training outcomes into development plans
- Communicate progress updates and insights to HR and department leadership
Experienceand Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree required; Learning & Development certification preferred
- At least 5 years of experiencein training professional development or HR; law firm or professional services experience a plus
- Strong instructional design capability and facilitation skills
- Experience managing LMS platforms and analyzing training metrics
- Excellent communication organization and stakeholder partnership skills
This position offers a salary range of $105000.00 to $135000.00 with final compensation dependent on the selected candidates years of experience and office location.
