Position: Job Developer
Program: Sierra Center Work Release
Location: New Haven
Salary: $22.00/hour
Schedule: Full time 40 hours 1st shift Monday-Friday (8:30-4:30p)
Position Summary:
The Job Developer will deliver comprehensive case management services to clients in work release programs in New Haven. The Job Developer will evaluate the clients employment needs and make appropriate recommendations to the vocational specialist. Work with clients on ways to approach potential employers to enhance marketability. Assist case management in working individually and in group sessions with clients to deliver vocational assessments and identify realistic vocational paths develop resumes develop job-hunting and interviewing skills and provide supports to help clients maintain employment over time.
Working within Adult Services the Job Developer works with Community Justice program staff to help to rehabilitate educate and successfully guide clients from incarceration back into the community.
Requirements:
- Bachelors Degree
- 1 years of related experience
- Valid Connecticut drivers license
- Regular and predictable attendance is required
Orientation:
If selected for employment with The Connection newly hired employees will be required to attend a two (2) day mandatory New Hire Orientation at our Roscommon office located in Middletown.
