Job Summary
GARNEY CONSTRUCTION
A CDL driver position is available in Brandon FL. This position will include work both in/out of the 30 flat deck truck includinghauling large diameter pipe transporting small to medium size heavy equipment securingthe loads for transport and overall safety associated with the vehicle tasks. The applicantmust have a clean driving record experience in tight areas and traƯic along with theresponsibilities listed above. Also performing daily inspections of the truck. The work mayalso include some physical labor to assist others as needed or between delivery could range from 40 to 60 hours per week and the availability to work weekends andnights as needed. Operating heavy equipment is not required but a plus.
WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING
- Lifting 50 lbs twisting bending climbing standing or walking on uneven ground pushingand pulling
- Driving in tight areas heavy trafic
- Proper loading and securing of loads
- General knowledge of commercial trucks
- Pre road inspections and maintaining vehicle records
- Work outside the truck as needed physical activities
- Proper Interaction with coworkers and the public
- Adhere to company safety policies wearing the proper PPE
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
- Valid Commercial Drivers License (CDL) with the appropriate class and endorsements.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience as a CDL truck driver.
- Clean driving record with no history of major accidents or traffic violations.
- Ability to operate and maintain commercial vehicles safely and effectively.
- Willingness to work flexible hours and adapt to changing schedules.
- Willingness to do labor work.
- Experiance with strapping down loads and binding equipment.
