Position Summary: (Overview of key purpose and accountability of the role)

The VP FP&A is:

  • An effective communicator whos comfortable working with all members of the organization.
  • A resourceful and creative problem-solver who anticipates business needs
  • A strategic thinker who can synthesize complex data and analyses into cohesive and accessible themes
  • A hands-on detail-oriented individual willing to dive into data processes and systems

Specific Responsibilities:

  • Adapts effectively to change demonstrating resilience and agility in a dynamic environment particularly as the entity navigates its European expansion and the growth trajectory that follows.
  • Owns the production of the monthly operating results & quarterly board packs for senior management.
  • Develop and manage Key Performance Indicator (KPI) reporting across the European entities (Dublin & UK).
  • Analyze productivity drivers identify risks and opportunities to business performance work cross functionally to implement recommended actions.
  • Drive ad-hoc analysis and decision support translating complex financial data into actionable recommendations for business strategy and performance optimization.
  • Champion process improvements and automation initiatives to enhance reporting accuracy efficiency and data quality.
  • Act as a problem solver for cross-functional finance challenges.
  • Liaise with FinOps and Product Control functions to ensure management reporting is accurate and fit for decision-making.
  • Provide subject-matter expertise on allocation methodologies (inter- and intracompany).
  • Lead the annual planning and quarterly forecasting process including liaising with internal TDS Finance stakeholders.
  • Develop and maintain good relationships with key business / finance partners and other stakeholders and effectively communicate relevant / meaningful recommendations to senior management.
  • Ability to work independently in a fast paced and demanding environment that requires meticulous attention to detail.
  • Position requires a keen interest in capital markets and a strong understanding of TD Securities financial products and structures.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelors degree in Finance/Accounting required Masters degree preferred.
  • Accounting or industry specific designation is preferred (i.e. ACA ACCA CPA CIMA CFA or equivalent)
  • Minimum 7 years of experience across Accounting Finance or Audit ideally within Financial Services or Global Markets
  • Roll up the sleeves mentality hands-on and detail oriented willing to dive into data processes and systems while maintaining a strategic perspective
  • Proven expertise in financial analysis reporting forecasting and budgeting
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel Word and PowerPoint; Experience with Hyperion PeopleSoft PowerBI or Python is a plus
  • Self-motivated individual with ability to work independently and prioritize multiple deliverables appropriately
  • Intellectual Agility: The ability to seek input make connections and recognize patterns that lead to effective decision-making and action
  • Exhibits meticulous attention to detail and analytical thinking

Risk Management Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for identifying and reporting Operational Risk Events in accordance with policy
  • Responsible along with all colleagues to contribute in a positive way to TDGFs reputation and the management of Reputational Risk. Every employee is expected and required to follow ethical practices at all times including compliance with applicable policies legislation and regulations and support positive interactions with TDGFs stakeholders including clients industry bodies industry participants public bodies regulators and vendors.
  • Responsible for good conduct and for contributing to the identification and management of Conduct Risk within their team and function
