We are currently hiring Senior Bariatric Dietitian for a reputed hospital in Dublin Ireland.
Provide advanced nutritional assessment diagnosis and intervention for bariatric patients (pre-operative and post-operative).
Develop and implement individualized nutrition care plans tailored to bariatric surgery pathways.
Deliver specialist counselling on behaviour change portion control eating patterns and long-term weight management.
Monitor patient progress nutritional status laboratory values and hydration adjusting plans as needed.
Educate patients on pre-op preparation post-op dietary stages supplement use and potential complications.
Lead group education sessions workshops or bariatric classes.
Work closely with the multidisciplinary bariatric team including surgeons nurses psychologists and physiotherapists.
Identify and manage nutrition-related complications such as dumping syndrome deficiencies intolerance and dehydration.
Maintain detailed clinical documentation and contribute to outcome reporting.
Support service development audit research and quality improvement initiatives within the bariatric programme.
Provide supervision and guidance to junior dietitians students or support staff.
Contribute to the development and review of bariatric nutrition guidelines protocols and patient resources.
Requirements
A qualification in Dietetics approved by the CORU Dietitians Registration Board
CORU registered.
Experience working as part of a multidisciplinary team.
Strong problem-solving time-management and communication skills.
Knowledge and experience of bariatric surgery in the management of complex obesity.
Experience in enteral and parenteral nutrition.
