Position: Medical Assistant As a Medical Assistant of our practice you will be responsible for providing and assisting the provider in the clinical documentation necessary during a clinical visit under direct supervision of the provider. While demonstrating positive attitude actions and behaviors towards team members patients vendors referring offices and all parties interacted with while providing quality service. This behavior should promote an atmosphere of teamwork which is congruent with facility standards and guidelines to promote positive relations.*This position is required to float between our Phoenix/West Valley clinic locations* Responsibilities: - Ability to navigate EHR to retrieve and enter documentation.
- Maintain working knowledge of common medications including dosages and indications.
- Troubleshoot incorrect medication orders and bring to providers attention.
- Access UDS/Oral Swab results and relay information to provider as appropriate.
- Document all visit information as instructed by the provider.
- Knowledge of ICD-10 and CPT Codes.
- General knowledge of medical terminology anatomy and physiology.
- Works as a liaison with administrative and billing department to ensure accurate documentation as expressed by the provider.
- Ensures provider completes all steps of discharge process.
- Troubleshoot data entry errors and corrects or escalates to HER manager in a timely manner.
- Review phone notes and communicate with triage.
- Able to communicate directly with patient in person or by electronic method.
- Assist MAs with workflow as needed.
- Able to assist with administrative duties such as assigning documents and clerical duties.
- Schedule appointment when appropriate.
Skills: - Proven working experience as a medical assistant front and/or back-office experience.
- Knowledge of medical office management systems and procedures.
- Excellent time management skills and ability to multi-task and prioritize work.
- Social perceptiveness and service oriented.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong organizational and planning skills.
- Proficiency in MS Office and patient management software.
Requirements: - Graduation from an accredited Medical Assistant training program or a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license preferred.
- Medical Assistant experience is preferred.
- Pain management experience preferred.
- Bilingual not required but preferred.
- Willing to travel to multiple locations.
