THIS IS A GRANT FUNDED POSITION FUNDED UNTIL DECEMBER 1 2026

JOB SUMMARY/ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: The Research Technician 2 supports activities of the Champs (Health IT) study by conducting blinded in person follow-up data collection visits with participants as well as screening visits and pre-screening phone calls with prospective participants. This position collects and enters data consents takes physical measurements conducts participant visits and performs other study related tasks.



Responsibilities

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. Explains study objectives and study specific information regarding participation.
  2. Administers eligibility questionnaire utilizing understanding of inclusion/exclusion criteria.
  3. Schedules participants for visits and conducts follow-up calls/appointment reminder calls.
  4. Obtains Informed Consent in accordance with study protocol Good Clinical Practice Guidelines and HIPAA Privacy and Security Rule guidelines.
  5. Collects participant measurements and other data at protocol-specific screening and follow-up visits and enters data into study database.
  6. Documents adverse events using protocol specific procedures/forms and conducts any necessary follow-up.
  7. Enters data into a relational database verifies information for completeness and accuracy and updates database after each participant contact.
  8. Performs administrative task including but not limited to maintaining schedule calendar mailing documentation to participants maintaining study supplies and answering phone calls.

Performs other duties as assigned.



Qualifications

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

EDUCATION:Bachelors Degree in Life Science Health Science Social Science Public Health or a related field.(TRANSCRIPT REQUIRED)

EXPERIENCE: OR Combination of college course work and work experience to equal eight (8) years.

KNOWLEDGE SKILLS ABILITIES:

  • Knowledge of basic research principles.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Excellent organizational skills and ability to manage time efficiently.

  • Ability to demonstrate proficiency using regional database.

  • Ability to complete Human Subjects Protection and Good Clinical Practice training and obtain certification within the first four weeks of employment.

WORK SCHEDULE:This position may occasionally work weekends and evenings. .
