Job Summary

You are a Senior Account Manager Health PR.

Looking to take on a new role in a thriving Health PR practice Were looking for an experienced motivated and knowledgeable Senior Account Manager to join our Health PR team. As a Senior Account Manager you will be responsible for supporting our healthcare and pharmaceutical accounts with a focus on media (earned and paid) and influencer relations content development social media channel management research and analysis issues management and stakeholder engagement. Were looking for a team player who is committed to results and supporting Canadas highly regulated healthcare system.

What were looking for:Youve got a degree in PR or communications with 3-5 years of experience in an agency or corporate communications setting ideally within the health industry. You have a passion for health communications brand awareness and disease understanding are experienced with working media and influencers and approach challenges with a solutions-oriented approach to make an impact. You can engage with clients and develop appropriate health content for a broad audience as well as support new business development. Plus you can handle deadlines like a pro prioritize with ease and junior mentorship. With our dedication and support you will continue to advance your writing presentation critical thinking and problem-solving skills as well as demonstrate a keen attention to detail project management and leadership abilities.

What are your responsibilities

As a Senior Account Manager you will support client programs which may include:

  • Earned media
  • Content development
  • Influencer/creator relations planning execution and reporting
  • Campaign planning and activation
  • Media analysis and reporting
  • Research and analysis
  • Supporting issues management
  • Project critical path management
  • Client communications and meetings

You will also support the team including:

  • Collaborating effectively with colleagues
  • Supporting senior staff and managing client communications when needed
  • Mentoring and coaching junior colleagues
  • Participating in team and company meetings and events
  • Presenting to internal and external audiences
  • New business research and reporting
  • Participating in ongoing learning and development opportunities

What type of person should I be

  • Public Relations or relevant bachelors degree or associate post-graduate certificate
  • 3-5 years experience at agency or corporate communications experience
  • Strong understanding of the media and influencer landscape
  • Demonstrable experience delivering earned media results and creating effective sponsored media content
  • Solid understanding of and ideally experience with key issues related to Canadas healthcare sector and related regulatory landscape is an asset
  • Strong written skills and can communicate clearly and concisely via email Teams or other communication channels

Additional Considerations:

  • Understanding of Health Canada PAAB and ASC regulations governing life science industry communications
  • Bilingual capabilities in French is an asset
