Sr. Residential Service Technician

BGIS ITS is currently seeking a Sr. Residential Service Technician to join the team in Hudson FL and surrounding areas.

The Senior Service Technicianleverages their extensive expertise to diagnose troubleshoot and efficiently repair a variety of residential HVAC systems. They play a pivotal role in conducting diagnosis of faulty HVAC recommending and providing solutions while adhering to industry standards. The Senior Service Technician will occasionally perform routine preventative maintenance tasks that contribute to extending equipment lifespan and preventing potential issues. They will be required to provide excellent customer service and explain technical issues and solutions. Additionally the Senior Service Technician will be a leader within the service team helping to foster continued learning and collaboration within the team.

Compensation:

• Hourly Rate: $30 - $34 per hour
• 5% Commission
• 48 Hours of PTO
• 5% 401(k) Match
• (7) paid holidays

KEY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

• Arrive at jobsite at scheduled time and location as dispatched.
• Relocate from one jobsite to another jobsite as dispatched during the workday.
• Report to dispatcher when arriving and leaving jobsite.
• Operate company vehicle as needed.
• Follow instructions from supervisor and carry out in timely manner.
• Report problems with company tools or vehicle promptly.
• Report problems with equipment to Dispatcher to expedite parts delivery.
• Purchase required tools as listed.
• On call status for emergency service as required.
• Ability to work staggered schedule if required.
• Complete deliveries by driving non-DOT company truck or van to and from vendor locations.
• Take company vehicles in for service calls.
• Maintain cleanliness and appearance of company vehicles interior and exterior.
• Follow all safety laws when driving and maneuver through traffic in a courteous manner.
• Able to climb and descend ladders while carrying up to 30 lbs. lift up to 75 lbs. and maneuver in confined spaces i.e. crawlspaces attics etc.
• Must be able and willing to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) any concerns with this requirement.

KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS

• Demonstrate mechanical aptitude.
• Valid drivers license
• Willingness to invest in tools used in the Service of HVAC equipment.
• Willingness to invest time in training seminars and classes.
• Operate power and hand tools safely.
• Basic knowledge of electrical and refrigeration principles.
• Basic knowledge of service tools and testing devices.
• Perform filter changes and do filter checklist paperwork unassisted.
• Perform planned maintenance with assistance of a Service Technician 3 or 4
• Follow directions as given.
• Work from 28 extension ladder and 12 step ladder.
• Commit to developing customer service skills.
