What we are looking for
We are looking for a Site Inspector and Technical Officer to join the Public Realm team. You will share our values commitment and motivation to make a difference for our residents clients and communities.

About the role

1. Updating and increasing accuracy of our digital records using GIS and other information management systems.

2. Creating new digital records from site visits ground surveys and other data.

3. Responding to queries from Councillors BMSDC staff and members of the public about maintenance regimes land ownership and access rights.

About you
We are looking for a flexible team player who is able to multi-task and work at pace. You will need to manage you own workload and feel able to carry out daily tasks with minimal supervision.
Attention to detail and IT dexterity will be key; an ability to plot on a GiS system (QGis or similar) a distinct advantage. The role will be split between desktop (desktop pre site checks verifying current position with colleagues plotting/changing map layers updating work schedules and advising changes to operations) and site visits (to test information/data with what is actually on the ground)

There is a need for experience in using Microsoft Office including the ability to use Word Outlook and Excel.

You will have excellent communication skills; both written and verbal and have a full UK driving licence and car available and insured for business use.
