SUMMARY

Our Summer Internship Program is geared towards students interested in the manufacturing of custom cabinets casework and locker rooms. TheFabricator Internshipis an hourly (non-exempt) full-time opportunity that runs from June 1 2026 - July 31 2026.
Reporting directly to the Production Manager the Fabricator Intern will work in all phases of fabrication for each of our unique projects specifically designed for our clients. The Fabricator has a direct impact on how each product is crafted and delivered to the client. You will return to school with practical knowledge and experience that is sure to enhance your skill set and career goals.
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES/FUNCTIONSmay include but are not limited to:
- Possess an eye for quality and detail and desire to work on cool projects
- Must be willing to do all phases of fabrication
- Always maintain a safe and positive work environment
- Operates power tools fabrication machines and/or life equipment and material
- Work and collaborate as a team to complete projects on a timely schedule
- Takes direction well and is a self-starter
- Improves processes when necessary
- Fulfills production duties assigned as needed
KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES
- Ability to read CAD drawings is preferred
- Knowledge of fractions decimals- both standard and metric
- Ability to use various measuring tools
- Knowledge of fabrication shop procedures
- Ability to work solo and as part of a project team
- Ability to stand walk bend kneel stoop and crouch all day and frequently lift or move items up to 75 pounds

- The employee is occasionally required to reach with hands and arms and stoop kneel climb crouch or crawl
- The employee must be able to occasionally lift and/or move up to 75 pounds
- Specific vision abilities required for this job include close vision distant vision color vision peripheral vision depth perception and the ability to adjust focus
- Employee must be able to talk and hear
SHIFT HOURS
- Full time position five day work week with over-time as needed

Due to our onsite Fabrication process the work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee may encounter while performing the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job employee may be exposed to wet and/or humid conditions moving mechanical parts fumes or airborne particles and outside weather conditions.
