APMEX is seeking an Accounts Receivable Specialist to join our accounting team. The AccountsReceivableSpecialist will perform all duties as necessary to ensurepaymentsare reviewed for accuracy perform the paymentreconciliationfor alldeposits to incumbent will report directly to theAR Supervisor.

A Day in the Life of an Accounts Receivable Specialist:

  • Process incoming customer payments from various banking platforms and apply them to theappropriate invoicesand accounts.

  • Reconcile daily deposits perform payment matching and resolve unapplied or misapplied cash items.

  • Monitor accounts for missed or partial payments shortpaysreturn payments and discrepancies; follow up with customers or internal stakeholders as needed.

  • Assistwith invoice distribution including emailing invoices statements and documentation to customers.

  • Maintain customer account information including payment terms credit limits and contact details.

  • Investigate and resolve customer billing issues collaborating with Sales Customer Service and other internal teams.

  • Prepare and update AR aging reports documenting collectionactivitiesand payment commitments.

  • Support month-end and year-end close processes by ensuring payment entries reconciliations and adjustments are completed accurately.

  • Communicate professionally with customersregardingoutstanding balances and payment expectations.

  • Organizeworkflowtomaintainefficiency and meet departmental deadlines.

  • Establish andmaintainstrong working relationships both internally and with customers.

  • Assistwith audits and provide necessary documentation to leadership or auditors.

  • Otherdutiesmay be assigned.

Qualifications

Education:

  • High school diploma required
  • Bachelors degree or working towards Accounting or Finance preferred

Experience:

  • 1-3years of experience in AccountsReceivablepreferred

  • Knowledge of Great PlainsDynamicsor similarAccountingsoftware is a plus

  • 1 year payroll experience a plus

  • Knowledge working with Paycom a plus

  • 1yearof customer service experience required.

Computer Skills:

  • Proficient in MS Office
  • Excel experience

Other Requirements:

  • Superior spreadsheets skills and a good knowledge of Microsoft Excel

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills arerequired

  • Highly organized withabilityto manage multiple priorities and deliver assignments on time.

  • Successful in dealing with vendor andcompany personnel

  • High degree of integrity including the ability to successfully deal with sensitive or confidentialinformation

  • Personallyexhibits a strong commitment to dependability and reliability with the ability to gain the confidence and respectof the vendors

  • Demonstrate knowledge and understanding of proper accounting treatment for accounts payable transactions and activities
