About the Role
The role is responsible for overseeing the assessment of complex building regulation applications managing responses to dangerous structures and ensuring compliance with statutory duties. As a senior leader the postholder will drive service improvement workforce development and innovation while promoting equality sustainability and public safety.
The Building Control Manager will work collaboratively across departments and with external stakeholders to grow the service maintain market competitiveness and uphold professional standards. The role also involves providing expert technical advice and evidence in support of enforcement actions and legal proceedings in partnership with the Councils legal team. Through effective leadership and strategic oversight the postholder will ensure the service remains resilient responsive and aligned with the needs of Nottinghams communities and built environment.
