Job Summary

WHO YOULL WORK WITH

Youll lead a globally distributed engineering team within Nikes Data Analytics & Intelligence (DAI) organization. Youll partner with Technical Product Managers Principal Engineers and cross-functional stakeholders across business and technology to deliver scalable reusable data capabilities that empower teams across Nike to build insights and analytics in a governed consistent and efficient manner.

WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR

Were looking for an experienced inclusive and hands-on engineering leader to drive Nikes data enablement strategy. This role is ideal for someone who thrives at the intersection of data architecture platform engineering and product thinking. Youll lead the development of frameworks and services that standardize how Nike defines stores and publishes business metrics integrates GenAI capabilities into analytics workflows and enables federated data ownership through a data mesh approach.

Youll also play a key role in shaping Nikes broader data strategyensuring that the capabilities your team builds are secure scalable and aligned with industry best practices and enterprise standards.

Key Qualifications

Bachelors Degreein Computer Science Engineering or a related field. Will accept any suitable combination of education experience and training.
10 years of software engineering experience with 5 years in leadership roles.
Proven experience building data-centric frameworks APIs and services at scale.
Deep expertise in software engineering fundamentals with a strongcommand of distributed systems and cloud-native architecture patterns.
Experience with modern data platforms and related tooling like Databricks Snowflake EMR Airflow Kafka Spark.
Experience with CICD and DevOps tools like Jenkins Terraform Docker and Kubernetes.
Knowledge of AI/ML GenAI and AI-powered automation.
Demonstrates exceptional communication and collaboration skills with a proven ability to lead through influence and to navigate complex problem spaces.
Adept at evaluating and articulating the strategic and financial impact of new capabilities features and investments.

Operates with a pragmatic delivery-focused mindset - prioritizing customer value and continuous improvement through resilient scalable systems.
Leads with empathy and intention fostering a culture of trust empowerment and growth in alignment with Nikes Maxims.

WHAT YOULL WORK ON

Youll lead the design and delivery of data capabilities that power
Nikes analytics and intelligence ecosystem. Youll:

Build and scale key components of Nikes enterprise data mesh and marketplace to support federated data ownership through centralized capabilities and governance.
Develop services for consistency in business KPI/metric definition lineage and publication and usage.
Enable GenAI-powered analytics by embedding LLM capabilities intoBI and reporting workflows.
Partner with Product leaders to engage a global community of internal users to understand their data needs and deliver solutions that are intuitive impactful and governed.
Partner with Principal Engineers to develop tools and frameworks forimproving security reliability scalability and self-service capabilities within Nikes data ecosystem.
Partner across teams to ensure continuous alignment smooth integration and solution consistency.
Help define and enforce engineering standards for data-centric software development across the organization.
Mentor team engineers and foster a culture of innovation trust andtechnical excellence.
Stay ahead of emerging technologies and trends to continuously evolve Nikes data strategy and delivery practices.
Communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
