Emergency Center Registration Supervisor
Position Summary
The EC Registration Supervisor oversees daily operations for the EC Registration team. This role manages staffing workflow training and adherence to hospital and departmental policies. Responsibilities include auditing registrations monitoring insurance verification processes ensuring accurate patient registration and supporting an efficient patient experience. The supervisor communicates regularly with patients insurance carriers clinical staff physicians and revenue cycle teams
Location: St. Petersburg FL
Schedule: Full-time 40 hours per week.
Key Accountabilities
The supervisor coordinates the day-to-day operation of the EC Registration area to maintain adequate staffing.
The role supports the development and enforcement of departmental policies procedures and work standards.
Weekly audits are conducted to evaluate staff accuracy and reduce claim denials.
The supervisor assists with or collects point-of-service payments and outstanding patient balances.
Staff engagement projects are initiated to support morale and team involvement.
Annual performance evaluations are completed and documented according to hospital policy.
The supervisor maintains strong communication with staff clinical teams and revenue cycle departments to support a positive patient experience.
Qualifications
A bachelors degree is required.
A minimum of 3 years of experience in an emergency department clinical environment or medical facility is required.
Knowledge of third-party payer requirements signature regulations and strong computer literacy are required.
Experience with Medicaid Medicaid HMOs CMS and other government programs is required.
Bilingual proficiency is required.
