A specialist healthcare service is seeking a Consultant Psychiatrist to join the Male PICU ward. This is a full-time role of 37.5 hours per week.
The hospital provides comprehensive inpatient mental health services for adults and young people with a focus on supporting patients to live their best life in a safe and therapeutic environment.
What youll be doing
You will join a compassionate team committed to patient wellbeing using a personalised evidence-based approach to support recovery.
Key responsibilities include:
Leading clinical care for patients including psychiatric assessments treatment planning ward rounds and Responsible Clinician duties under the Mental Health Act.
Working collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to deliver person-centred recovery-focused care.
Building and maintaining effective relationships with referring trusts community teams families and external stakeholders.
Contributing to service development through clinical governance quality improvement initiatives and compliance with regulatory standards.
Participating in the non-residential on-call rota and engaging in continuous professional development to meet GMC Revalidation requirements.

Hold full GMC registration and provide evidence when required.
Have significant experience working within multidisciplinary teams.

Be confident working autonomously applying evidence-based practice in a patient-centred manner.
