Join our Outreach Funding Awareness Team and help shape the future of student support in Scotland. As a Funding Awareness Advisor youll deliver a high-quality outreach programme providing clear funding advice to prospective students parents carers and key stakeholders. Youll represent SAAS in person and digitally at events create engaging digital content and build strong partnerships across the education sector. This role also supports policy development and contributes to Scotlands commitment to widening access to education as well as promoting positive destinations for post 16 year olds.
Responsibilities
Outreach & Representation
Represent SAAS at digital-first outreach events delivering presentations and providing funding advice to students parents and carers.
Manage and schedule event enquiries to ensure smooth delivery.
Promote a digital-first approach by creating and delivering content across multiple platforms.
Policy & Stakeholder Engagement
Support the development and implementation of new funding policies.
Coordinate external stakeholder engagement activities aligned with policy objectives.
Relationship Building
Establish and maintain stakeholder relationships to target students from SIMD and rural areas ensuring delivery of Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
Develop networks to increase awareness and leverage external partnerships.
Data & Continuous Improvement
Gather and analyse qualitative and quantitative data from events to identify trends and improve the student experience.
Training & Innovation
Deliver training sessions to external partners.
Identify innovative digital engagement methods including social media.
Programme Coordination
Coordinate and promote the SAAS Outreach Programme internally and externally.
Represent the team on internal working groups.
Work flexibly across the directorate to assist with key tasks including handling complaints and appeals and contributing to communications strategies.
Widening Access
Support the Scottish Governments commitment to widening access by delivering bespoke outreach events.
Qualifications
Driving license would be preferred but not essential.

Working pattern

Please note SAAS have separate public holiday arrangements and are fully closed between Christmas and New Year.
Security Checks
Successful candidates must complete the Baseline Personnel Security Standard (BPSS) before they can be appointed. BPSS is comprised of four main pre-employment checks Identity Right to work Employment History and a Criminal Record check (unspent convictions).
