JOB SUMMARY: To evaluate and diagnose students at risk for communication fine/gross motor sensory hearing & visual disorders and to provide direct service to students as required by AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Implements all aspects of child Find: referring screening evaluating diagnosing and recommending intervention strategies for referred students
- Completes all assessments including written report within timelines mandated by IDEA
- Completes all progress reports within timelines mandated by IDEA
- Maintains written records of service delivery for all students
- Consults with administration staff and families regarding interventions and strategies for identified students
- Participates and reports evaluation results to IEP eligibility meetings
- Observes students in their learning environments as requested
- Participates in Professional Development opportunities and stays current with evaluation instruments
- Consult with other professionals as needed
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Massachusetts certification for Speech & Language therapist or Professional state licensure as appropriate
- Masters degree required
- Three years experience working within a school/clinical setting
- Knowledge of IDEA regulations
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
COMPENSATION:$54373.00 - $93870.00 commensurate with education and experience
