Job Description:
The Sr. Associate Systems Engineering position is responsible for being part of a team that supports the design development test and integration of complex specialized hardware/software installed on the aircraft flight deck and labs.
Essential Functions:
- Works with other Systems Engineering Flight Line Test Product Development and Project Engineering personnel to understand new modifications and baseline functionality.
- Plans and executes integration testing in a Systems Integration Laboratory and on airborne platforms.
- Follow existing standards to document system testing status and anomalies with the system hardware and software.
- Works with management to develop and adhere to schedules and budgets required to accomplish assigned work.
- Assist in the generation of requirements based off customer Statement of Work and development of test plan to verify the system meets those requirements.
- Aircraft Avionics experience.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills to develop and deliver complex topics.
- Proficient in using the Microsoft Office suite of applications.
- Excellent interpersonal skills to work with internal and external customers.
- Understanding of Avionic Equipment and Subsystems.
- Willing and able to travel as needed (up to 10%).
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret Clearance.
- Other duties as assigned by Supervisor.
Qualifications:
- Bachelors Degree with two (2) years of prior Electrical Systems or Software Engineering experience or associated technical field.
- Graduate Degree with zero (0) to two (2) years of Electrical Systems or Software Engineering experience or associated technical field.
- In lieu of a degree a minimum of four (4) years of Electrical Systems or Software Engineering experience or associated technical field.
- Must be a U.S. citizen.
Preferred Additional Skills:
- Active Secret Clearance.
- FAA Compliance and Certification experience.
- Doors/Jira.
