Job Summary

BCMC is supporting a U.S. Government customer to provide support for onsite incident response to civilian Government agencies and critical asset owners who experience cyber-attacks providing immediate investigation and resolution. Contract personnel perform investigations to characterize of the severity of breaches develop mitigation plans and assist with the restoration of services. We are seeking a motivated Network Engineer to implement maintain and support the lab network infrastructure.

Responsibilities:
- Leverage advanced analytical and technical skills to design and implement infrastructure solutions that enhance mission execution and support command decision-making.
- Support the integration of new technologies and equipment within lab environments including development and refinement of standard operating procedures (SOPs) and policies.
- Assess network topology and device configurations identify critical security vulnerabilities and recommend security best practices.
- Provide user support for Virtual Private Networks (VPNs) Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI) such as Citrix as well as MacOS and iOS platforms.
- Troubleshoot and resolve a broad range of technical issues from basic to complex network problems
- Implement granular access controls monitor system performance and accessibility establish and maintain backup protocols and ensure system security.
- Diagnose and resolve complex enterprise storage issues across local and wide area networks including replication strategy support and remediation of storage-related incidents.
- Design build and maintain robust network environments by configuring routers switches and firewalls as well as updating network devices and performing IP address audits.
- Ensure optimal network performance by troubleshooting issues enforcing system standards and collaborating with stakeholders to optimize infrastructure.
- Secure network systems through policy enforcement access controls and continuous monitoring.


Required Skills:
- U.S. Citizenship
- Must have an active DoD Secret clearance TS/SCI clearance is preferred

- Must be able to obtain DHS Suitability
- 5 years of directly relevant experience in network administration
- Proficiency with multiple operating systems including Linux/Unix and MacOS
- Strong knowledge and experience with routers switches firewalls and VPNs
- Experience and knowledge of networking and network administration
- Skilled in working with virtual desktop environments (Citrix VMware)
- Must be able to work collaboratively across physical locations

Desired Skills:
- Familiarity with Palo Alto firewalls and Cisco switches
- Experience with converged infrastructure solutions (e.g. FlexPod) and NetApp storage systems
- Proficiency with Cisco Intersight vCenter and virtualization automation/optimization
- Strong documentation skills for technical procedures and SOPs
- Capable of creating and maintaining network diagrams
- Demonstrated experience in network design implementation and performance tuning
- Project management capabilities and excellent time-management skills
- Expertise in hardening network devices and infrastructure for enhanced security

Required Education:
BS Computer Science Computer Engineering Computer Information Systems Computer Systems Engineering or related degree; or HS Diploma and 7 years network administration network engineering or systems administration experience.

Desired Certifications:
- DoD 8140.01 IAT Level II
- Network
- CCNA
