Service Department Manager

Location: Avon IN

Champion Chevrolet of Avon the fastest-growing Chevrolet store in the State of Indiana is looking for an experienced Service Department Manager to lead our high-performing service team. This role is responsible for driving profitability ensuring an exceptional customer experience developing our people and maintaining strong process discipline in a fast-paced dealership environment.

What Youll Do

  • Lead day-to-day Service Department operations (lane management dispatch workflow quality control)

  • Ensure exceptional customer service and protect CSI performance

  • Coach train and develop advisors technicians and support staff

  • Monitor key fixed ops metrics: ELR productivity efficiency RO count warranty compliance and gross targets

  • Oversee warranty submissions repair order accuracy and GM compliance

  • Partner with Parts Used Cars BDC and Accounting to support dealership goals

  • Manage used car recon workflow and ensure timely completion

  • Resolve escalated customer concerns quickly and professionally

  • Drive continuous process improvement and maintain a safe organized shop

What Were Looking For

  • 5 years of automotive service management or advisor leadership experience (GM preferred)

  • Strong understanding of fixed operations warranty and OEM processes

  • Proven ability to lead a team in a high-volume dealership environment

  • Excellent communication leadership and problem-solving skills

  • Experience with Dealertrack DMS Xtime and GM tools (or willingness to learn)

  • Professional customer-focused and team-oriented mindset

Compensation & Benefits

  • $135000 $180000/year (DOE and performance plan)
