As we enter a new phase of growth we are looking for an Instrumentation Engineer to join us on a temporary basis for 3 months (ASAP - Feb 2026) with a possibility of extension depending on business needs.
The Scope and Deliverables
The responsible Instrumentation Engineer shall deliver the following aligned with the machine and all its submodules:
Instrumentation & Control System Design
Develop detailed specifications for all instruments control valves transmitters and analytical equipment required for the system ensuring compliance with process requirements and industry standards
Perform sizing and calculation for control valves restriction orifices flow elements (e.g. venturi orifice plate) and thermowells.
Specify Safety Instrumented System (SIS) requirements including Safety Integrity Level (SIL) assignment and justification if applicable in coordination with Skytree Process Engineering.
Review and mark-up P&IDs (Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams) to ensure correct instrument placement tagging and logic representation specifically focusing on control loops and interlocks.
Develop Instrument Index and I/O (Input/Output) lists detailing all signals ranges alarms and control system tie-ins.
Technical Support & Documentation
Provide technical support during the procurement and Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT) phases for instruments and control hardware.
Support cross-functional teams (process mechanical electrical) by ensuring the instrumentation is accurately translated into the design documentation.
Develop Instrument Hookup Drawings
What were looking for
Existing ZZPer or a freelancer with existing rights to work in The Netherlands (own work sponsorship). Applicants who dont meet this requirement will automatically be disqualified.
Able to start ASAP
Bachelors Degree in Electrical Instrumentation or a related engineering field
5 years of relevant experience hardware design experience is a big plus
Proficiency with CAD software (like AutoCAD) and strong knowledge of electronics control systems and industrial standards
Ideal if you live close to Amsterdam possible hybrid or remote option (depending on experience and seniority)
Hourly Rate: EUR 70.-
