Are you an experienced Mechanical Design Engineer with a mechanical background looking to join a cutting-edge defence-focused organisation Were seeking a proactive and adaptable Mechanical Design Engineer to play a key role in delivering high-quality engineering solutions in a secure and fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities of the Mechanical Design Engineer
- Support all phases of mechanical design and project engineering
- Create and manage project plans drawings and procurement documentation
- Generate and manage parts lists RFQs and purchase orders
- Oversee project procurement deliveries and goods-in processes
- Assist during build testing and final assembly phases
- Provide technical and administrative support to senior engineers and management
- Ensure accurate documentation and compliance with engineering processes
Candidate Requirements
Qualifications:
- SVQ/NVQ Level 5 ONC/HNC (Minimum Level 4) or City & Guilds T4/T6 in Mechanical Engineering
- Completed EITB-approved apprenticeship preferred
Experience:
- Ideally 5 years in a mechanical design or manufacturing environment
- Strong foundation in mechanical engineering principles with an analytical and methodical approach
Technical Skills:
- Proficient in Microsoft Office especially Word Excel and Project
- Experience with SolidWorks or similar 3D CAD software is highly desirable

- Adaptable and well-organised
- Strong communication skills both written and verbal
- Team-oriented with a proactive problem-solving mindset
