Could you be the full-time Traction System Engineer in Saint-Ouen close to Paris were looking for
Your future role:
Take on a new challenge and apply your electrical powertrain expertise in a cutting-edge field. Youll work alongside a collaborative multi-disciplinary and innovative team of professionals.
Youll play a pivotal role in ensuring the performance functionality and compliance of our train traction systems. Day-to-day youll work closely with teams across the business (such as EMC reliability safety and weight teams) contribute to technical reviews and support validation activities among other responsibilities.
Youll specifically take care of defining electrical propulsion and braking functions as well as simulating powertrain energy consumption on mission profiles but also support the reliability growth of the traction system during revenue service.
Well look to you for:
Specifying electrical propulsion and braking functions and their performances at the train level
Defining or applying function architecture and allocating sub-functions to sub-systems
Collaborating with multi-disciplinary teams to identify and flow down requirements
Evaluating technical proposals and supporting solution selection
Managing technical deliverables from traction designers and manufacturers
Ensuring compliance with norms standards and local technical regulations
Leading validation activities including test specifications execution and reporting
Tuning the traction system to meet desired performances in collaboration with other systems
Supporting reliability growth through root cause analysis and mitigation plans

Engineering degree with a general background in mechanical and/or electrical fields
5 years of experience working on electrical powertrain systems
Strong leadership and analytical skills
Excellent problem-solving abilities and self-reliance
Fluency in English and French
Willingness to travel in France and abroad for short-term missions
