The AMFT/ASW provides supervised individual and group counseling and participates in weekly supervision. This role is responsible for conducting assessments developing treatment plans and delivering clinical counseling services. Additional duties may be assigned as needed to support agency operations. Work is overseen by professional staff and all clinical services are supervised by a licensed clinician. All Westwind employees are expected to adhere to the companys policies and procedures.
The essential functions include but are not limited to the following:
Direct Clinical Services
Provides individual psychotherapy with a caseload of approximately 810 clients per week.
Facilitates 35 group sessions per week including both process and didactic formats.
Provides crisis intervention services when necessary.
Conducts biopsychosocial assessments formulates diagnostic impressions using DSM criteria and develops individualized treatment plans in collaboration with clients.
Conducts family sessions and provides clinically informed communication and updates (with proper consent).
Treatment Planning & Service Coordination
Oversees all aspects of care for assigned clients including assessment treatment planning counseling crisis intervention family communication discharge planning and coordination of care.
Coordinates with case management and communicates client needs appropriately.
Collaborates with outside agencies (legal medical probation etc.) as needed.
Works cooperatively across departments to ensure seamless care and with external community resources when appropriate.
Provides updates to referents for all assigned clients.
Documentation & Compliance
Maintains accurate up-to-date clinical documentation in accordance with state facility Joint Commission and internal standards.
Completes treatment plans discharge summaries risk assessments and other chart-related documentation in a timely manner.
Performs utilization review as needed.
Meetings Supervision & Professional Conduct
Attends weekly clinical staff meetings.
Participates in weekly supervision and is open to learning and feedback.
Consults with supervisors and staff as required.
Interacts with staff and clients in a professional and ethical manner.
Strives for continued professional growth through training and staying current with relevant trends and theories.
Maintains appropriate state licensure/registration/certification required for scope of practice.
Schedule Requirements
Works the required schedule of Monday through Friday 5:00pm-9:00pm
Other Duties
Performs additional job-related duties as assigned by leadership.
Carries out other responsibilities as delegated.
