NEW EMPLOYEES
New hires at our facility are immediately placed on a 3-month probationary period. During this time employee attendance and performance are closely monitored. While on probation management reserves the right to move an employee to a different position anywhere in our manufacturing facility to suit the needs of the business. Second and third shift employees also receive an additional $1.00 per hour shift differential.

***The Skippy Foods Plant has an opening for a first shift Fabricator.
You will be a key member of a world-class maintenance team in a peanut butter manufacturing will perform each job multi-skill maintenance position performs predictive maintenance preventive maintenance troubleshooting and repair on processing packaging and material handling equipment some of which is controlled by state-of-the art automation. This equipment ranges in age from new to 35 years. You will determine the root cause of any breakdowns that occur and put corrective actions in place to prevent a will work closely with the Operations Maintenance and Engineering teams to ensure a high level of customer satisfaction. You may serve on a variety of different teams such as Fire Prevention Safety Innovation and Capital Projects.
Qualifications:
Required:
- A proven personal safety record
- 5 years industrial or 2 years military experience installing maintaining troubleshooting and repairing equipment
- 2-year technical degree military training certification or journeyman license
- Experience troubleshooting and repairing electrical equipment including 480 volt industrial control circuits electrical motors and drives
- Experience inspecting equipment using predictive maintenance technologies such as: oil analysis infrared ultrasonic thermal imaging order to prevent failures and ensure reliability
- Experience in 2 of the following skill sets: welding plumbing carpentry auto repair sheet metal fabrication millwright work HVAC
- Experience troubleshooting or programming Allen Bradley PLCs is a plus
- Demonstrated initiative in solving problems making repairs troubleshooting and developing corrective actions
- Ability to work flexible schedules including nights and weekends as business dictates
Preferred:
- A strong knowledge of National Electrical Code including a Masters electrical license
Experienced Pay Rate: M2: $30.90
Shift Hours: Monday to Friday 6:30a to 3:00pm with relief coverage as mandated
