Job Summary

We are working closely alongside with a local authority in Camden to assist with the appointment of a Early Years Practitioner on a 1-months contract highly likely to be extended at clients discretion. Please apply with your CV for immediate consideration.

Rate of Pay: 15.07- 19.70 per hour

Summary:

The Early Years Practitioner is responsible for delivering high-quality integrated day care and early education for children from birth to 7 years within a multi-disciplinary centre team. The role requires a full commitment to providing a secure safe and stimulating environment planning and delivering curriculum in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) and ensuring the holistic development and well-being of every child.

Responsibilities:

  • Contribute to the planning and support the delivery of a high-quality early years curriculum that adheres to the requirements of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS).
  • Provide input into the assessment of childrens overall development by carrying out detailed observations recording childrens achievement and maintaining developmental records to a high standard.
  • Fully commit to anti-discriminatory practice promoting childrens development with reference to good practice curriculum guidance appropriate to their ages and stages of development.
  • Assist with first aid provision comforting sick or injured children and liaising with the designated first-aider senior staff and medical professionals including accompanying children to hospital or doctors as necessary (training for basic medical procedures will be provided).
  • Support colleagues in undertaking their responsibilities as key worker to specific groups of children.

Essentials:

  • Proven experience of working with children from birth to 7 years in an integrated care and education setting.
  • Strong working knowledge and experience in planning implementing and assessing against the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS).
  • Experience in providing direct physical care including toileting feeding and administering basic first aid/medication (with training).
  • High degree of skill in observing assessing and maintaining accurate developmental records for individual children.
  • A thorough understanding of and commitment to Child Protection procedures and principles.

  • You should have right to work in U.K
  • This role requires an Enhanced DBS
