About the Role
In this role you willbe responsible formanaging and optimising the commercial performance of our renewable& storageassets in Australia. You will work across the full value chainfrom operational assets to development projectsensuring that power and certificate revenues are maximised while supporting long-term strategic growth in the National Electricity Market (NEM).
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and optimise Electricity and Large-scale Generation Certificate (LGC) revenues from RWEs operational assets and other third-party assets.
- Activelyengageinelectricityandenvironmental-marketstradingincludingbothstandardand bespokestructuredproducts.
- Oversee and refine the spot-bidding strategy for the renewable fleet and the NEMs first 8-hour BESS including oversight of relevantAutobiddercontracts.
- Provide clear commercial insights and recommendations to internal stakeholders including market trends revenue forecasts and optimisation strategies.
- Supportthecommercialassessmentof developmentprojectsthroughmarketinsightsand operationalassumptions.
- BuildandmaintainstrongrelationshipswithwholesalecounterpartiesandacrossRWEsglobalteams.
- Confidently present complex market information to a wide range of audiences.
Job requirements and experience
- A degree in EngineeringFinanceEconomics Business Administration Computerscienceor a related discipline.
- Derivative trading experience in the Australian NEM (National Electricity Market) with AFMA accreditation viewed positively.
- Strong analytical and numerical skills with experience in financial modelling and commercial evaluation.
- Familiaritywithprogramming languages (Python SQL VBA) is highly regarded
- A proactive mindset with the ability to contribute ideas challengeassumptionsand drive improvements.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills with the confidence to engage both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Fluent in English;additionallanguages are an asset.
