Amazon Connect is seeking an SDM to drive our next phase of innovation in forecasting capacity planning and agent scheduling creating toolsets to help customers automate schedule management for their large agent forces while optimizing agent efficiency performance improving agent experiences.

The Role: As an SDM for Forecasting Capacity Planning and Agent Scheduling youll lead a high-impact software engineering team driving Connects workforce management product. Youll help businesses to get the most out of their workforces by automating and optimizing agent schedules.

Key job responsibilities
- Drive technical strategy design development deployment and operations for new and existing AWS services working alongside Amazon Connect.
- Lead and mentor multiple software engineers.
- Collaborate with senior leadership and cross-functional teams to define product vision roadmap and create impactful solutions.
- Build and grow high-performing teams.
- Drive architectural decisions for large-scale highly available cloud services.
- Ensure operational excellence and compliance with industry standards.
- Manage multiple concurrent programs and projects in an intrapreneurial environment.
- Foster a culture of innovation inclusion and technical excellence.
- Solve complex challenges that healthcare organizations face today through innovative use of cloud and AI technologies.

- 3 years of engineering team management experience
- 7 years of engineering experience
- Knowledge of engineering practices and patterns for the full software/hardware/networks development life cycle including coding standards code reviews source control management build processes testing certification and livesite operations
- 5 years of leading the definition and development of multi tier web services experience
- Experience partnering with product or program management teams

- Experience in communicating with users other technical teams and senior leadership to collect requirements describe software product features technical designs and product strategy
- Experience in recruiting hiring mentoring/coaching and managing teams of Software Engineers to improve their skills and make them more effective product software engineers

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $166400/year in our lowest geographic market up to $287700/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge skills and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered equity sign-on payments and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package in addition to a full range of medical financial and/or other benefits.
